DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New Bern Riverfront

I am so grateful for my stay at Double Tree Hilton Riverfront New Bern. We stayed there October 22nd, 23rd and 24th. The staff brought us comfort from the moment we walked through the door. My husband was scheduled for open heart surgery the morning of the 23rd so it was a blessing to be so close to the hospital. We had to arrive at the hospital at 4:30 am . I felt there were some special angels that work there that were sent to comfort us. I have to mention a few of them because they treated us with kindness and comfort that could have only been sent by angels. Karen who actually took the time to sit down with me, and listen to me, was someone that I will never forget. She took the time out of her busy schedule to just sit and chat for just a few minutes and it brought me such comfort. She prayed with me, and made me feel safe. She knew I needed some supernatural strength from God and she listened and also spoke words that so helped me through one of the hardest times in my life. I believe she is an angel . Other employees who also were very kind and helpful were Autumn and Kailee, with their soft spoken words and friendly smiles. Warm cookies and also, taking care of spilled water on the bed letting housekeeping know how clean and fresh the room was at all times! Terry Ann, in the bar area was fantastic as well, so grateful for her, and Shelly who so cheerfully brought the early morning coffee with a really good positive attitude! Thank you all for making our stay there so wonderful! We were treated with A+ service. I can't wait to come back and see you all!!

This hotel is the best location. It’s wonderful to look at the water from your room. And then you can walk to any restaurant or store that you want to go to. We also really enjoyed the live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It was nice after a long day of exploring to come and sit and relax with a drink and listen to the music. I highly recommend this location. Also there workout gym is very well equipped. You could still get a really good workout.

After reading some of the reviews I was a little hesitant on staying here. I almost changed the reservation. I'm so glad I didn't. We had great service and amazing employees all around us. The views from the room were phenomenal. The breakfast was great. The staff was attentive. There was live music that was loud but it ended at 9pm. I'd definitely stay here again

Very clean, staff was so friendly, short walk to shops and restaurants. Great venue to hold conferences, great weekend getaway. Amazing views!

Location location location! Walkable to Tryon Palace or any of the amazing restaurants and shops. The boat tour AND trolley tour both pickup from this hotel- it was so convenient! Stayed for one night in October and already want to come back. The hotel had live music on the patio on a Friday night, the breakfast buffet is incredible and they will make an omelette fresh from the kitchen all you have to do is ask. The staff are all courteous, helpful and professional. The view and all the boats are stunning, I couldn’t get over how lovely it was! The beds seemed more comfortable than other Double Trees! The rooms however were a little old, although they seem well maintained and extremely well cleaned.

The location can't be beat. Walking distance to everything downtown. Plenty of parking. The pool overlooks the river and marina. The deck looks ar pool, river, and marina. The deck often has live music where locals and guests come for drinks and entertainment..the deck has shade and outdoor gazebo bar that opens seasonally on weekends. The Tapestry next door is newer but this is more for families. Popular for families in summer dropping off their children for camp. Rooms average. Restaurant average but lots of great ones within 3 minutes walking distance.

We enjoyed our balcony room overlooking the water. The staff were very professional. The location is excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. It would be nice to have chairs on the balconies.
